A few parts lagged, but it was funny, and had some strong messages, but perhaps it was because i read it aloud, but it really felt slow. It reminds me of the schoolyard, when a lot of boys would spend half their recess just arguing about something, and putting a lot of energy into putting each other down and making sarcastic remarks.

So Colville’s aliens are especially good at sarcasm and put-downs. I think the thing that sustains alienw kind of book is the dialogue. This book is an especially good gomework for children because it helps them understand that bullying isn’t just mean, but it can be considered an intergalactic crime! This story tells about their adventures of figuring out My students loved this book!
Aliens Ate My Homework would be considered a science fiction story.
They demand that he helps them to find a missing part of their ship so that they can continue with their mission of finding an intergalactic criminal, then re-enlarge their ship and return home. The author’s ability to pull a little bit at a reader’s heartstrings while mainly delivering fun action is why I would not hesitate to suggest this book to a kid who isn’t so hot on reading.
It is suspenseful, it is funny, and it is relateable. Oh another crazy detail about the aliens is that they have these translator things inside their heads, and they’re always messing with them. You will be entertained hearing about a boy’s journey, what he endures, and the secrets he must keep along the way. But there was a lot more science fiction themes introduced than I remember.

The aliens finally reveal to Rod that BKR the criminal mastermind is wanted because he lacks empathy and is cruel to others for the sake of being cruel. Our main character is a good boy who suffers at the hands of bullies.
